Raymond LeRoy Carver Jr., 66, of Caldwell died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at his home of natural causes. Raymond was born July 16, 1946 to Raymond Sr. and Marilyn Hensley Carver in South Gate, California.
He joined the US Air Force and worked as a crew chief on the planes while in Vietnam. Raymond was also in the Aerospace program while he was in the Air Force, and helped with studies prior to the first man on the moon which he was very proud to be a part of. He was trained in Karate under the master Sensei Fuse Kise while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He earned his first degree black belt there and later in Arizona had his own Karate school and earned his second degree black belt.
After his honorable discharge from the US Air Force Raymond lived in Chico, CA where he was an excellent salesman. He then moved to Parker, Arizona where he met his future wife Brenda. For a brief while he moved back to Chico before moving to Caldwell 20 years ago. He loved windsurfing and camping and had a soft spot for dogs, cats and kids.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 37 years, two brothers: David (Neil) and Richard (Sue), his nephew David Jr. (Toni) nieces Denise Ryals (Tim), Corina Roe (Shane), Four step brothersLen (Lynne) Spesert, Dennis Spesert, Mike (Deanna) Spesert and Gary Spesert; many nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and youngest brother Phil.

Raymond's funeral service will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with military honors. Private interment will follow at Canyon-Hill Cemetery Caldwell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Caldwell Disabled American Veterans 624 W. Warehouse St, Caldwell, ID 83605. Condolences for the family may be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
