Sharin Schaffer
1948 - 2013
Sharin Schaffer passed away on June 27, 2013, at her home in Nampa, ID surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old.
Sharin was born in Salmon, ID on April 30, 1948, to Clint and Beth Whiting. Sharin graduated from Kuna High School in 1967. Sharin married her sweetheart Bruce Schaffer 44 years ago in Kuna, ID and later they were sealed for Time and all Eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on November 11, 1978. She loved being a wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. People were drawn to her sweet loving spirit and she was an inspiration to those who knew her. With all of her heart Sharin enjoyed her many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharin also enjoyed her many friendships she had with her Wal-mart family.
Sharin is survived by her loving husband Bruce Schaffer; Daughter, Nikki and Wade Carter of Emmett and their 4 children: Katie, Kody, Karly and Karissa; son Lance and Lisa Schaffer of Kuna, their 5 children: Derek, Ashley, Austin, Brock and Brooklyn; son, Ryan and Amy Schaffer of Meridian and their 2 children Cameron and Conner; daughter, Kimberly and Traun Eilers of Nampa and their 4 children: Logan, Landon, Colten and Jaidyn; son, Lane and Laura Schaffer of Nampa and their 4 ½ children: Dallan, Savanna,MacKenna, Annika and expecting baby boy; daughter, Shawna and Mike Phillips of Nampa and their 3 children: Mackenzy, Jerry and Beth; son, Drew Schaffer and Pam Hampton of Nampa and their children Cale and Zane; twin sister, Karin and Mike Kohl of Salmon and brothers: Val and Cheryl Whiting of Kearns, UT, Bill and Sandy Whiting of Nampa, Art and Doris Whiting of Salmon, Shane and Mela Whiting of Kuna and Mike and Georgia Whiting of Nampa along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Clint and Beth Whiting, grandparents Ralph and Irene Whiting and nephew Justin Kohl.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 7809 Deer Flat Road, Nampa, ID. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 1, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa and at the church on Tuesday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Accent Hospice & Care, 1857 S. Millennium Way, Suite 100, Meridian, ID 83642
