Tory Allen Bruesch

Tory Allen Bruesch, 66, of Melba passed away on July 21, 2013 at home.
Tory was born May 7, 1947 to Tory and Phyllis (Case) Bruesch in Grand Junction, CO. Tory attended school in Cedaredge, CO and graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, UT. He played football, basketball and was on the wrestling team. Tory served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved to hunt and fish and shared that love with family and friends. He enjoyed woodworking, writing poetry, drawing, playing games and his furry and feathered kids.
Tory worked in construction for many years helping to build places like St. Al's and Karcher Mall. He also did sheet metal work and was a Behavioral Therapist. He worked with severe behavior problem clients at ISSH and in group homes. He was a Family Intervention Team member working directly in homes to help keep children with behavioral issues at home and was a Therapeutic Foster Parent for over 10 years.
Tory met the love of his life, Janey Haney, while working at the Idaho State School and Hospital. They were married in Caldwell on January 18, 1980. During their lives together, they lived in Nampa, Boise and Melba, Idaho as well as Cedaredge, Colorado.
Tory is survived by his wife Jane, daughters Angela Connelly-New Albany, IN; Patty Crawshaw-Glenns Ferry, ID; and Carla (Troy) Haney-Nampa, ID; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; foster daughter Regina (JC) Shannon & family, brother Mike (Valorie); sister Chris (Phil) Ferguison; sister-in-law Pam Anderson; brothers-in law Earnest (Neava) Haney, Wesley Haney; 8 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lynn, niece Chrissy, great niece Rebekka Ann and brothers-in-law Errol & Glen.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Boise VA that helped with Tory's care over the last several years. A special thank you goes to Tori Taylor, Dr. Perrymond, Dr. Lynch, Dr. G. and the entire Oncology staff-the best there is! We would also like to thank Mo, Harold, Jessica and everyone else at Legacy Hospice for helping us keep Tory at home.
