Virginia F. Bow, 96, of Nampa, died Monday January 28, 2013 at her son's home of natural causes. Virginia was born in Pener, Nebraska on January 27, 1917 to LeRoy and Lucetta Riggs. She was the sixth of eleven children. She attended many Canyon county schools completing her education at Caldwell High School. Virginia married John Bow January 27, 1936, in Caldwell and they were blessed with three children. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary just before John's passing in 2011. She was a lifetime member of the Caldwell Rebekah Lodge #5. She went through all the chairs of leadership.
Virginia supported the farm by caring and helping with all aspects of farm life for all her married life. She enjoyed dancing, hunting trips, quilting, and crafting. She passed in the home she came to as a bride in 1936.
Virginia is survived by her sons; Don (JoAnn) Bow, Gerald "Jake" (Reida) Bow, her sister Ruth Johnson and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, infant son Melvin, five sisters and four brothers.
A viewing will be held Thursday January 31, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel Caldwell. Virginia's funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday February 1, 2013 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Private family interment will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Heart and Home Hospice for their tender care. Donations may be given to Rebekah Lodge #5 of Caldwell.
