July 24, 1986 - February 23, 2014
Jacob Douglas Ferguson, 27, of Caldwell, passed away on February 23, 2014. He was born on July 24, 1986 in Boise to Steve Ferguson and Cynde Kessel-Madrid. He was raised and educated in Caldwell where he was an avid football player and played in the state playoffs for Caldwell High School.
Jake was a kind, compassionate, sensitive, caring young man sometimes to a fault. If you needed help or a favor, Jake was your man. He loved his brothers and sisters immensely, Luke, Jenne, McKenze, Karlie and Murphy. Jake loved his wife, Taylor Ray, more than life itself. She was his true love. Jake was the best father he could be to Dalton and Leland. He lived for his days to be with his wife and sons. They were the reason he lived. He loved his grandparents dearly and always made time for them and visited them frequently, never forgetting them.
Jacob is the biggest hero we know. He had the biggest laugh in the whole world. It just lit up the room. He had the biggest heart and was amazing in our lives.
Jacob always enjoyed camping and being in the hills, so now go climb the mountain tops with Murph and check in on us from time to time.
Jacob is survived by his wife Taylor and sons Dalton and Leland. He is also survived by his mother, Cynde Madrid and father, Steve Ferguson, and his grandmother, Cleoria Glenn; his brother Lucas Francke and sisters Jennifer (Francke) Girdner, McKenze and Karlie Nichols, Uncles, Mike Ferguson, Curtis Kessel and Jason Kessel, Aunts, Linda Bennett, Debbie Clem, and Tami Ruell. He is also survived by cousins, Jessica Ferguson, Jody, Spencer, Ileen Deshazo, Clinton Doramus, Melisa Kessel, Jacob Kessel, Amanda (Kessel) Martin, Shantell (Kessel) Carmen, Joshua Kessel, and Morris Brown, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Murphy Nichols, and grandparents, Harold and Elizabeth Ferguson, and Darwin Kessel, and great-grandmother, Valoria McCullough.
A celebration of Jake's life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the home of Curtis Kessel, 4930 Dye Lane, Kuna, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
