Lila Jane Evans Bradburn
March 10, 1933 - April 1, 2014
Lila Jane Evans Bradburn, 81 of Nampa, died Tuesday, April 1st at a Nampa Care Center. She was born March 10, 1933 at Eagle Butte, SD, the youngest of 11 children to William Wesley Evans and Ava Edna Webb Evans. Her brothers and sisters; Wesley (Nellie), Dallas (Jerri), Bob (Claudine), Dean (Martha), Bill (Mary) Keith (Lucy), Laura Mae (Charlie), Dick (Jean), Joy (Don), and Keven (Doris)….. The family moved from South Dakota when Lila was a small child and made their home in Kuna Idaho where she attended school. Lila met Albert Ernest (Ernie) Bradburn at a school function and they were married in Winnemucca, Nevada on September 11, 1948. Lila was a homemaker and had several odd jobs over the years, some of which were housekeeping and in the laundry at Mercy Medical Center. Lila was never really crazy about traveling but Ernie loved it so they did a lot of traveling until health problems no longer allowed it.
Lila loved to crochet and just about everyone that knew her probably has one or more of the over 100 afghans that she made. She loved to ask your favorite colors and before you knew it she had an afghan for you. She also loved her flower gardens. She would order bulbs or bushes and couldn't wait for them to arrive so she could dig a new spot in the yard and plant them and enjoy their beauty. Lila and Ernie had 6 children all still surviving. One daughter; Susan (Dick) Lewiston, and five sons; Ernie (Sharon) Powell, WY. Danny, Boise ID, Dale (Debbie) Meridian ID. Mike (Anita) Apache Junction, AZ, and Curtis (Sue) Meridian ID. She is also survived by her sister Joy Robison, Boise and her brother Keven Evans, Nampa. She has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Ernie on September 30, 2013. She felt that six months without him was long enough. We will miss you Mom, but we're glad you and Dad are together again.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa.
