1925 - 2014
While surrounded by her loving family, our precious Mama passed on to her eternal resting place on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Mardella Julia Mann was born December 20, 1925 in St. Anthony, Idaho to June and Burl Smith.
Mardella married Ivan in 1942. They had 9 children; Dale, Dennis, Douglas, Carol, Connie, Donald, Dave, Cora and Delmer. She was a loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren, a great grandmother to 38 great grandchildren and a great-great grandmother to 10 great-great grandchildren. Mardella worked at Carnation Processing Plant in Nampa for 17 years.
Mardella loved gardening and always had a beautiful lawn. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and loved to watch baseball….Go Braves! She crocheted some beautiful rugs while watching those games. Loving to laugh, she enjoyed her family so much. As our loving family matriarch, she taught us unconditional love and compassion. Her strength and willpower will forever influence this family and all who loved her. She will live dearly in our hearts. We will cherish her last words, "I love my family". We love you too, Mama!
Mardella is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and June (Smith) Yeamons; her father, Burl Smith; her husband, Ivan Harold Mann, of 38 years; 3 siblings, John Yeamans, Merlin Smith and Pug Yeamans, and her Baby Boy, Delmer Tracy Mann. She is survived by her children; Dale (Margaret) Mann, Dennis "Bud" (Lynda) Mann, Douglas (Larry Mitchell) Mann, Carol "Buggs" Miller, Connie (Max) Poulton, Donald "Tex" (Cathy) Mann, Dave (Kate) Mann, Cora Mann; brother, Gary (Sharon) Yeamons and sisters, Nadine Church and Sherrin Plummer.
Special thanks to Brother Dave and Sister Cora for their never ending care and compassion, all of our family who helped, and to Encompass Hospice for being there.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmett Cemetery with a viewing Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett. A celebration of life reception will be held at Mardella's home following the services.
