Amanda Rae Reynolds
March 6, 1995 - August 9, 2014
Amanda Rae Reynolds was born March 6, 1995 in Boise, Idaho to loving parents David and Karla Reynolds. She returned to God's loving arms August 9, 2014.
During her nineteen short years on earth, Amanda lived life vibrantly. She loved everyone and, from the time she could express herself with hugs, hugged often and indiscriminately. She was that baby that you could not turn your back on in the grocery store because she would be reaching her arms to the nearest passerby to be retrieved from the cart.
Amanda attended Kuna Schools and was an exceptional, albeit sometimes reluctant, student. Teachers were challenged by Amanda's inquisitiveness and need to know more than what was complacently set before her. She was actively involved in FFA at Kuna High School and credited her ability to research and argue any agricultural issue to her three Ag teachers. She established a love for agronomy through her participation in competitions in FFA. Amanda graduated from KHS in 2013 and enrolled at the University of Idaho as an Agronomy Major. As a result of this career choice, Amanda was hired by a local farmer to walk fields and track insect numbers. She was very proud of this job and noted that not only was she learning more about agronomy, but she was getting paid to get "buns of steel" as she high stepped over alfalfa plants on 1600 acres each week.
Amanda was blessed to have found the love of her life. Sam Emmert made Amanda glow with happiness.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ken and Sarah Schwartz and Dale Reynolds as well as her Aunt Anne Martes and her Godfather Joe Urquidi.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Dave and Karla Reynolds; her siblings: Mac (Michelle) and their children: Ben and Ellie Reynolds, Tyler (Danielle) Reynolds, Jessica "Duck" Reynolds and Libby Reynolds; godmothers: Gina Urquidi and Cyndi Harris and her grandmother Mary Reynolds, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a Vigil with Rosary for Amanda held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 7:00 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt in Nampa. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014, also at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Kuna Cemetery. A luncheon will be held after the cemetery at the Kuna Middle School Cafeteria. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to an FFA scholarship fund at Kuna High School, 637 E.
