Martha Hensen of Nampa, who has been residing at Nampa Care Center, passed away of natural causes on April 23, 2008. We would like to thank Candy, Vickie and the rest of the staff for the wonderful care they provided for her.

Martha was born in Sugar City to Henry and Elizabeth Kroh on April 29,1915. In 1925 the Kroh family moved to a farm on Orchard Avenue west of Nampa. She attended Lone Star and Sunnyridge schools through the eighth grade.
Martha married Roy Hensen on Sept. 17,1936. They purchased the family farm in 1947 and lived there until they retired to downtown Nampa in 1982. Roy passed away in 1991 after 54 years of marriage. She worked for Idaho State School and Hospital for 14 years. She and Roy owned and operated the Honker Café for four years.
Martha is survived by one sister, Emma Hensen of Caldwell, four children, Beth McFall of Boise, Joyce and Butch Ryals of Ontario, Ore., Jim and Bonnie Hensen of Caldwell, and Lyle and Esther Hensen of Lake Elsinore, Calif. In addition to Martha's four children, she has 19 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, two brothers, two grandsons, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services are scheduled at Alsip Funeral Chapel located at 404 10th Ave., South, Nampa, at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28. Interment follows at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
