Ivan LeRoy Pickrel

1928 - 2012

Ivan LeRoy Pickrel, born on September 14, 1928, in Wolbach, NE to William and Lillian Pickrel, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. He had two brothers and two sisters. Ivan joined the Merchant Marines from 1941-1945. Ivan worked for many years for a diesel parts company as a parts manager. For the last 15 years he worked with wood and had his own company Intarsia Artistry In Wood. Many people in town would have recognized him by his car alone, a red El Camino and the artwork in the back. In 1948 he married Bonnie Newhard and together they had one daughter, Rhonda Pickrel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters and one brother. Ivan is survived by his brother, Ervin (Velma) Pickrel of Buhl, Idaho, daughter Rhonda Pickrel, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. At his request no services will be held. Cremation was under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
