Danny Lee Ludwig
February 15th, 1939 - November 9th, 2012
Danny Lee Ludwig, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
The funeral service will be conducted 11:30am on Friday November 16th at St. Paul's Church, 1515 8th Street South Nampa, Idaho.
Danny is survived by his wife Marcie and his three children son Scott (Joneen), daughter Susan, son Stephen. He was blessed with 3 grandchildren Sarah, Jason, Amy and 4 great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, Emery and David.
He was preceded in death and joins his grandson Kurtis, his parents and brother Chris.
Danny was one of 7 children born in Correctionville, Iowa to Evelyn and Henry Ludwig. He found the love of his life early at the age of 20 and married Marcella Richer in September 1959. They resided in Jefferson S.D. raising their family for the next 20 years as Danny devoted 25 years working for Armour and Company. In 1979 they moved to Nampa, Idaho where he worked the next 16 years in property management.
With numerous extended family and devoted friends, Danny will be greatly missed. He will be remembered for his wit and playful sense of humor, his encouragement for arranging family activities and for his continuous ability to help others. He enjoyed working with his hands, watching old western movies, loved the outdoors and camping. He was a member of St. Paul's Church.
Danny had a passion for life and made a great impression on everyone he met. He belonged to Treasure Valley Trikers. His latest adventure was riding his trike motorcycle to Iowa, 3600 miles round trip to visit with family and friends.
