Mary Irene Johnstone
May 29, 1926 - March 24, 2013
Mary Irene Johnstone, 86, of Nampa, died Sunday March 24, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by all of her children.
Mary was born in Guffey, Idaho on May 29, 1926 to William Seneca and Elizabeth Kelly Walker. She was raised in Owyhee County and graduated from Marsing High School. Mary worked as a clerk at Woolworth's drug store which she always said was her favorite job. She married John R. Johnstone on April 18, 1947 where they made their first home in Marsing, Idaho. They later moved to Nampa where they were blessed with seven children. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother with over 49 years of marriage. Whether canning, scrubing or baking a meal, our lives were truly blessed to have had her in them. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, her oldest son, William James (Billy), her parents Seneca and Elizabeth Walker, two brothers, Joseph and Lawrence (Brub) Walker, four sisters, Louise Gammett, Marjorie Cox, Jean Walker and Patricia Walker. She is survived by two sons, Kim and Bonnie Johnstone and Larry and Renee' Johnstone both of Boise. Four Daughters, Johnna Shumate, Bobby and Kevin Thompson both of Nampa, Jeanette and Steve Reynolds of Mountain Home, and Patty and John Howard of Twin Falls, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one sister, Cecelia (Sis) Needs of Nampa.

She made so many friends at Trinity Mission and we greatly appreciate them.
I love you mom - a bushel and peck and her response "and a kiss around the neck"
