Dan T. "Tom" Morris
June 26, 1926 - April 30, 2013
Daniel Thomas Morris was born on June 26, 1926 in Harrison, Arkansas, to Fillmore M. and Nancy Ada Villines Morris. He was entered into rest on April 30, 2013 in his home with family at his side.
Tom attended schools in Harrison, Arkansas graduating from High School in 1943. He then moved to Caldwell, Idaho and was shortly drafted into the Army. He served from 1944-1946 in Germany during World War II. When he returned from the war, he enrolled at the College of Idaho where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business in 1950. During his college years, he met and married his wife Beverly Irene Hodgson.
For many years he worked in the farm implement business, eventually owning an International Harvester Franchise, Tom Morris Equipment Company in Homedale, where he moved in 1960 and lived the rest of his life. He established his own individual business in 1985 called TM Equipment. Retirement was not part of his life plan.
In his early life, he loved to hunt and camp. He loved going to the mountains, boating and fishing and sharing time in his cabin with his family. He enjoyed farming throughout his life, created remarkable flower and vegetable gardens and willingly shared their bounty.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beverly, his granddaughter, Jeness, and his great grandson, Trevor. H e is survived by his brother, Millard from Boise, his children: Tom L. Morris (JoAnn) of Homedale; Ann Ordorica of Wilder; Linda (Dave) Pagano of Montebello, New York. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Tom will be dearly missed by a family he loved and shared his life with. His kind heart and generosity will be remembered by many.
The family would like to thank all those who visited and helped Dad in his time of need, especially the care given by the wonderful people from Legacy Hospice.
