Dion Downs 49 of caldwell went to be with JESUS october 14, 2015. He was born to Dennis and Karen Downs february 16, 1966 in caldwell, idaho. Dion attended caldwell schools thru grade 12. He worked for West Gemco and Mountain View Equipment from 1982 til 2005. He had a neuro-muscular disease that forced him to quit working. Dion got along with everyone. Little children and animals seemed drawn to him. His mom was a babysitter and two special kids Kim and Mike Cashman became lifelong friends. Mike was his best friend until Mike's passing in 2009. Dion and Mike are probably having Karen fix them her famous spaghetti. He loved video games and would gladly be a spectator while others played. As a young boy he had many toys that other kids did not. Many times they played with his toys while he used makeshift guns and swords. Dion accepted everyone just as they were, no exceptions. He was preceded in death by his mother Karen, his grandparents George and Janet Downs and Oliver Lowe. He is survived by his father Dennis, grandmother Elaine Lowe and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services at canyon hill cemetery caldwell at 11:00 A.M. tuesday october 20.
