Shililah passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 58, on May 23, 2013 at her home in Burley, ID surrounded by her loved ones. She will be remembered by her family and friends every time they see a sunset, lighthouse, or wagon ruts of the Oregon and Mormon pioneer trails. She was determined to show strength, pride, and courage in her battle against breast cancer when diagnosed in 2003, and was at peace and acceptance with her Heavenly Father when it returned 9 years later. She was born on February 21, 1955 in Rupert, ID to Patricia Yvonne Lewis and Ramon (Bud) Flowers. She was raised by her mother and step-father Doug Reed. The family moved a few times and later settled in Pocatello, ID where she graduated from Highland High School Class of 1974. Shililah married Chris Okelberry July 19, 1974 in Burley, ID and were blessed with two children, who were the center of her life. The family was later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Feb 1, 1992 for time and all eternity. She fulfilled numerous callings in the LDS Church, and served like she lived with faith in every footstep. She worked at Ore-Ida - McCain Foods for a combined 30 years of service. When diagnosed with breast cancer she became an active member of the McCain's Team. Shililah used her talents, craftiness, and personal experience to help raise money for the Cure. She is survived by her husband Chris Okelberry of Burley, son Ryan (Monica) Okelberry of Nampa, daughter Kamille (Ken) Mort of Paul, mother Patricia Reed of Pocatello, sister Juanita (Gene) Sorg of Paul, brother Kelby (Lillie) Flowers of Pocatello, step-sister Lori (Kim) Ball of Price, UT, mother-in-law Patricia Okelberry of Burley, brother-in-law Rick (Joyce) Okelberry of Yakima, WA, sister-in-law Susie Bailey of Burley, and sister-in-law Eileen (Greg) Tyler of Heyburn. A proud grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren: Tayten, Aryn, Kellen Okelberry, Kayden, Keilah Mort. And many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Preceeded in death by her father Bud Flowers, step-father Doug Reed, and her baby brother Johnney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Burley West Stake Center, 2420 Parke Ave. with Bishop Dan Alvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Rupert Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert and from 1:00 until 1:45 at the church on Tuesday prior to the funeral. Thank you to all those who have made our burdens light, offered support and comfort, and truly displayed the love of Christ in your words and deeds. A special thank you to Dr. Miranda, his nurse Rowena Miller, and office staff. They went above and beyond in caring for our wife and mother. To the staff at the Infusion Center for making her feel comfortable, and to Tawny from Hospice for being with us at the end.
