Lloyd Hocking Obituary

Lloyd L. Hocking 
POCATELLO - Lloyd L. Hocking answered his master's call late Wednesday evening, June 16, 2010, surrounded by love, with his family at his side, he peacefully journeyed home. Lloyd and his wife Dorotha are once again complete, and will be deeply missed by all.
He was born on October 6, 1929, in Corning, Arkansas, to Loren and Maggie Attebery Hocking. 
Lloyd married Dorotha May Ray on June 28, 1954, at Pocahontas, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on November 18, 1998. 
He was employed by Ore-Ida Foods for many years, retiring as plant manager, then returning to Ore-Ida for several years before working for Lamb-Weston,  retiring from that company also. 
Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting all types of firearms and attending auctions. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocatello, where he served on the church board and as a church greeter for many years. 
He is survived by two daughters, Carol (David) Privett, American Falls, Idaho, and Barbara Petersen, Chubbuck, Idaho; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and two sisters.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, June 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 408 North Arthur Ave., Pocatello, with Pastor Karl Pettit conducting. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello.   
Services are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Online guest book and condolences available at www.cornelisonfh.com.
