TUCSON, Ariz. - Norma Jean Day, 82, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., on May 16, 2011, after a short illness.
Jean was born in McCarthur, Calif., on December 12, 1928, and was married to Lawrence (Bean) Day for 53 years.
Jean enjoyed the Air Force, where her husband retired after 20 years of service. Jean worked as an LPN for several years prior to moving to Idaho in 1970. She lived in Pocatello for 30 years and recently relocated to Tucson. She worked for Block's Clothing for 10 years as well as Macy's prior to her retirement.
Her daughter, Terri Lee, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Bean) Day; daughter, Vicky Aguirre of Pocatello (husband Israel); son, Michael Day of Prescott, Ariz. (wife, Sally); son Jeffery Day of Tucson, Ariz. (wife, Lauren); grandchildren, Joe and David Aguirre and Rosie Nelson (Arimo), Michele Day (Prescott), Breanne, Ryan and Jason Day (Tucson); great-grandchild, RJ Howell (Prescott).
Services will be held at Bring Funeral Home, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, Ariz. 85710 on May 23, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. Jean will be buried at the Cavecreek National Cemetery in Cavecreek, Ariz., that afternoon.
