She was raised, and educated in Teton Valley, Idaho. Verda married Monte Dean Casper of Driggs, Idaho in September of 1945, and after their marriage they moved with their family to Pocatello where she resided the rest of her life. She was with Monte up until his death in January of 2009.
Verda was an immaculate house keeper and homemaker all her life, and was/is a wonderful mother. She was a member of the LDS church and was a Sunday School Teacher for a period of time.
Her interests and hobbies included: ceramics, scenic painting, gardening, hiking, fishing and camping. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in football, soccer, basketball, and wrestling. She also was an animal lover, especially of dogs, Llamas and horses.
Verda is survived by her daughters, Susan (William) McKinley and Nelda (David) Christensen and a son, Brent Casper all of Pocatello, Idaho; a brother, Vern Little of Rexburg, Idaho and a sister, Ilene Little of Tetonia, Idaho; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Picture where our grandparents lived, remember all the love they had to give.
We loved to go to our grandparent's place, laughing, through the fields we'd race.
Watching the fish in the pond, wherever they went we'd tag along.
Remember the hills we'd climb, they always made sure we had a good time.
The chickens chasing us in the yard, them laughing, never too far apart.
The Llama grazing in the grass, wouldn't it be great if those times could last?
But we grew up, that's just fate, and then we were bringing our kids to see grandpa and grandma great.
And then our grandpa was gone, the MAN grandma had loved so long.
The house we called our second home, left empty because grandma couldn't live alone.
But there's our grandma with a smile on her face, childhood memories that can never be erased.
Our grandma sitting in her chair, always happy when we took time to be there.
But it's time now for her to be out of pain, to go home and be with her husband again.
Can't you see them arm in arm, working together on their farm.
Let's always cherish the time and love she gave, she was amazing, she really is GRANDMA GREAT .
