Charles Knepp Obituary

Charles William Knepp Sr.
POCATELLO - Charles William Knepp Sr., 79, Pocatello, died Thursday evening, July 2, 2009, at a local health care center. 
He was born September 25, 1929, in Burnham, Pennsylvania, to Herbert and Lucy McNerlin Knepp. He graduated from high school. 
On April 7, 1949, he married Shirley Marie Swanger. They were later divorced. On November 15, 1973, he married Charlotte J. Knepp in Fairfield, California. She preceded him in death on December 20, 1997. 
Charles served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1969. He also served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Charles worked as a civil engineer in the Air Force. He also worked in drapery installation, furniture repair and maintenance at Idaho State University. 
He had many hobbies, woodworking, model trains, mechanical drawing/drafting, building and repairing things and landscaping. 
Charles is survived by one son, Charles Knepp Jr., Pocatello; one daughter, Karen Longino, (Steve), Vacaville, California; stepson, Stephen Williamson (Donna), Chubbuck; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Andersen (Kevin), Chubbuck, Cynthia Williamson-Otto (Lonny), Pocatello; grandchildren, Jonathan and Stacy Gresham, Nathaniel and Stephanie Longino, Christopher and Anjelica Otto, John, Kelsie, Michael and Johna Andersen, John Williamson, Jennifer Williamson; two brothers, Robert and Glen Kline; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Charolette, parents, brothers, Paul and Glenn Knepp, and a sister, Mary.    
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery, Section 52 East, with military graveside rites by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
