POCATELLO - Debra D. Tupyi, 57, of Pocatello, passed away Sunday morning, January 23, 2011, at a local health care center.
She born April 25, 1953, the daughter of Byron Jay and Marva Warren Harris. Debra went quietly home to her loving Heavenly Father January 23, after a long illness.
She was married to Nikoli Stepanovich Tupyi on July 28, 1972, at the Rupert Baptist Church. She and Nick lived in Rupert for a short time before moving to Pocatello, where Nick was employed at Bucyrus-Erie Corp. as a welder.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nick and her father, Jay. She is survived by her three daughters, Nikkcole, Shanna, Cheri; five grandchildren, Nickolas, Jacob, Breanna, Jason and Krystian; her mother, Marva Warren Harris; and her siblings and longtime friends, Kurt Wilkins and Randie Wilhelm.
Deb enjoyed her family and friends. She was an avid crafter and loved to try new things. Deb attended culinary school at ISU and loved to cook. She grew up in the View and Declo area of Cassia County, Idaho, and helped at home, on the farm and in the family garden. She enjoyed 4-H and Pep Club, while growing up.
Deb is also survived by her sisters, Marsha (Keith) Spires, Adrian, Oregon, Pamela (Carl) Williams, Victor, Idaho, Kerry Harris, Albion, Idaho, Wendy (Scott) Priest, View, Idaho; Tim (Sheri) Harris, Boise, Idaho, and Laurie (Paul) Gorringe, Boise, Idaho.
She will be missed by all.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday evening, January 25, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello, with Chaplain Kirk Bitton from Creekside Hospice conducting.
