Richard Burmester Obituary

POCATELLO - Richard Fred Burmester, 74, loving husband, father, grandfather passed away at Safe Haven in Pocatello on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011.
Richard was born in West Jordon, Utah on Nov. 9, 1938, the son of Fredrick and Frieda Burmester. His Dad was so excited for a boy to work with him on the farm.  His sisters loved and adored him and pampered him like no other. Richard grew up knowing hard work and a great love for animals. He always had a pet and loved the cattle. 
He married Gloria Fay Beagly on May 10, 1956 in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. After his wife Gloria, farming was his love. You could see him daily working on his farm with his wife by his side.  Gloria passed away April 29, 1996.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Lord and showed this by his service to other people.  He taught his children how to work hard and have a love for others. 
He is survived by his sons, Mike and Kristy Burmester, Craig Burmester, Fred and Stacy Burmester, Jim and Becky Burmester, Kiel and Kelly Burmester, and a daughter Melyssa and Bud Shumway. a sister, Delons Egbert. 19 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren. 
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Burmester, parents, Frieda and Fredrick Burmester, infant daughter, Michelle Burmester, sisters, Donna Williams, Joy Jewkes.
We miss you dad and Grandpa.  We are so blessed to have your in our lives, but are so excited that you are reunited with Mom. We love you. A great big thanks for all the care and love for our father at Safe Haven. 
    Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arimo L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishop Kurttis Smith of the Garden Creek Ward officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Arimo L.D.S. Stake Center and on Monday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Marsh Center Cemetery.
    Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Online condolence may be sent to the family at www.manningwheatleyfuneralchapel.com
