Madison Kaye "Maddie" Bartausky, 20 of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born August 12, 1993 to Frank John Bartausky and Diane Marie Surdam in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Maddie was raised on the family farm in Blackfoot. She attended Snake River School through the 8th grade and attended 9th and 10th grade at Middleton, Idaho School sand graduated from Blackfoot High School in 2011. She also received her certificate for a CNA. Maddie was also involved in FFA, played softball, and an avid cowgirl. She also loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She was never happier than when she was on her horse, "Boots", riding through the mountains chasing cows with her side kick, Carson Prouse.
Maddie enjoyed many memories of camping and branding cows with her twin brother, Luke and family and friends.
She was always pleased to hang out with her friends, having bon fires, kickin' back with her brother, Luke and all of their horse rides together.
A loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, Maddie is survived by her father, Frank Bartausky of Blackfoot, mother, Diane (Pete, step-father) Forsman of Lewiston, Idaho, siblings, Makenzie (Jeff) Pratt of Aberdeen, Idaho, Kadie Rose (Brandon) Birch of South Carolina, Lukas John Bartausky (Maddie's twin brother) of Blackfoot, Idaho, nieces and nephews, Mason and Bailey Birch of South Carolina, Paxton and Deegan Pratt of Aberdeen, step-brother, Peter Forsman of Spokane, WA, step-sisters, Rikki Forsman of Post Falls, Idaho and Dani (Alan) Shoemaker of St. Mary's, Idaho and grandmother, Margaret Surdam of Lewiston, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Edward and Rita Bartausky and grandfather, John Surdam, nephew, Cohen Pratt, uncles, Larry and Tom Bartausky and aunt, Mary Kae Bartausky.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho.
The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
