J T was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings during his life. As a young man he also served in the US army in the Korean War where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart. Many years later, prior to a knee operation, an X-ray revealed the legacy from that conflict. Just prior to his retirement from Walton Feed, Inc, where he worked for over 40 years, a piece of shrapnel finally dislodged from his lip as he worked. During his employment at Walton's he also operated a small family farm, much of which he had acquired from his parents. This family farm is one of the dwindling number of family dairy farms still in operation here in the Bear Lake valley.
"Mr. Tappy Toes" will be missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held in Liberty Wednesday, January 29, 2014, 12:00 pm, at the LDS ward chapel. A viewing prior to the funeral will be from 10:00 to 11:45. Interment will be at the Lanark cemetery.
