His memorial was a touching tribute, enriched by personal accounts shared by his family and friends. It was uplifting to hear new insight into how he contributed to each of our lives.
The benadiction lead by Deborah and prayer by Mia brought us in unison to sending our thoughts to Carlos.
Thank you Deborah for being a dear friend and sharing concert experiences of a lifetime with Carlos. Your soul connection and generosity made a world of difference in Carlos's life. We hope you will feel peace to live life with the same gusto and joy you shared with Carlos.

Carlos will always be in my heart. I've known him for 26 years, ever since his Hollywood landlords, Harry & John insisted I meet him because I, too, was a fan of "the U2 People," I had the pleasure of being party to his exuberance and finding the fun in life. He was the person whom I would stay up late with to watch too much bad TV, with whom I pored through record bins wherever we found them, with whom I'd laugh and laugh until there were tears in our eyes.

Almost no one else knew me nor saw through me as well as he did. He was able to call me on when I was taking myself too seriously. He could see that in just about anyone. We shared a deep bond that started over music but carried over to so many other things in life.

Though I missed getting to spend more years with him in L.A., I'm glad he got to live more peacefully in Pocatello for the last several years. Now I will miss him even more. Rest well, dear Carlos, you've earned it.

I met Carlos in the nicks fix chat room. We had such good times chatting. He always made me laugh. I had lost touch with him and was cleaning out my closet when a card of his dropped to the floor. I thought I need to call him. I got online and found out he had passed. My heart broke. He was such a wonderful man and will always have a little corner of my heart. May the white winged doves be flying with you Storms!

Carlos was a kind human being. He is one that we all should strive to be like. He was different and that's what we all loved about him. Carlos is gone too soon. He left a lasting legacy that shall be remembered forever.

Every day I miss your light. Your brought kindness, humor, and intelligence to this planet. We will keep them flowing in your honor. Life is too short. I will cherish every moment. The color of the sky. The taste of a meal. A funny joke. Wet grass on bare feet. A smile. A soft bed. A warm shower. Knowing you was touching magic.

I've always enjoyed unbridled humor that goes over-the-top. It's rare to find someone with the energy and humor to sustain the laughs. Carlos was the master. He had a way of seeing the world in an interesting and comical way. And this put smiles on so many faces. I know because many of my own friends from Facebook were avid fans.

On top of that, Carlos was kind and a great friend. I only knew him from Facebook, but really cherished our friendship and interactions. I'm going to get together with Deborah Geis and we are going to have a cup of Kopi Luwak in your honor Carlos. You'll be watching and laughing the whole time. Miss you so much!

Carlos is so hard to say goodbye for now. In my life he I only got to on the phone once. We had the love of music to share. However, the 1 talk on the phone I learned compassion , empathy & humor was even more a strong bond. I pray the spirit guides got you safely home and you are young, healthy & everything you wanted once more. Thank you for being my friend.

People never speak about how we truly learn life values from other people. This doesn't come from your parents or your family, it comes from your friends. If you're extremely lucky your family are your friends.

Carlos, you are bold, you are funny. You saw beauty in every person. You saw the wonder in the colors and forms of nature. And you allowed song and music move you. Carlos, I want to thank you for teaching me that living life is a wonderful place to be, and we take our short time here for granted. I'm going to miss you, but I'm also going to have fun being more like you.

April 6, 2017

I am quite fortunate to have known you, your humor and decency, if only on Facebook with your posts. I am deeply saddened by the news of your passing. May all your friends and family, including Deborah who gave us the news, feel the love we felt for you, God has you now, may you enjoy the reward for a life well lived.

Carlos, you are now back home and surrounded by God's Love that created you. What wonderful music are you hearing? Is it music that God keeps for himself and does not share with us on Earth? Is amazement yours? And no trouble or pain will be with you now. You are missed by so many and it is hard to really have this sink in. I'm glad to have been your friend these past few years. Your sense of humor and special way of seeing things clearly with no sugar-coating is one of the many things I will remember. Eternal rest grant unto Carlos, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shin upon him.

Dear Carlos, We were soulmates from the very beginning. You called me Mommy, and I would call you my son. Perhaps we were this way in another lifetime. How lucky am I to have known such a man that was sweet, loving, giving, having a zest of life , a love for music, and strength. You touched many people. The tears that have been shed could fill an ocean. I will think about you everyday. At this moment I can't stop crying. Hopefully ...I will remember how much fun we had sharing laughs. I'm amazed that my videos and pictures that I made for you kept showing up on Facebook during the past three months and you were so excited to see them. I also had an urge to call you this past weekend. The world is a little less sunny without you. I feel badly for ones that did not know you. Your soul will visit us as it did today. There is so much more to say, but I'll let others share the rest. I will always keep you in my heart. This is not goodbye. It's till then my Dear.
