Buckendorf, Philip Daniel - Boise
Philip Daniel Buckendorf 1985 - 2016 Philip Daniel Buckendorf moved to Heaven on Monday, May 2, 2016 to explore new adventures. He was born on May 15, 1985, in Boise to Ben and Paula. He was passionate about the outdoors and God's creation, from the mountains and oceans to His provisions from the earth. He loved to fish, both on the riverbank and under the sea. He lived life to the fullest, often regardless of the risk. Phil received his California real estate license this year, and we are all very proud of his accomplishment. His goal in selling property was to be a service to others. Helping those around him was a focus of his life, and he had a heart as big as gold for those in need. He once raised money for an older neighbor lady who had no shoes. Last year, he made friends with his hospital roommate, a homeless amputee who had no family, and prayed with him every day. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with others at awkward situations. He had an uncanny way of remembering stories and keeping us entertained. Those who spent time with Phil one-on-one were fortunate to know him the best. Phil is preceded to Heaven by his Uncle Dan, who he never met but was so much like, and his two grandfathers. We, as his family who can't wait to see him again, include his parents, Ben and Paula, his brother, Brad (Jenni), and his brother Geoff (Kayla Hoff) and his grandmother, Joyce Ellis. Phil's request in lieu of a traditional service was to have his family and friends lift up a toast to the celebration of his life. Please join us in remembering a life lived to the fullest and a son, brother, grandson, and friend who we'll hold close until we see him again. The family would encourage you to donate online to SpeakYourSilence.org , a Phil-approved organization established to help others. Or, to give by check, send to: Speak Your Silence, 106 N 6th St, Suite 224, Boise, Idaho 83702. Thank you for helping Phil's gift to others live on.
