Rhodes, Ruth - Nampa  
Ruth Rhodes 1911 ~ 2015 Ruth Rhodes, 103, of Nampa, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015. Ruth Atkins Rhodes, only daughter of Owen Henry and Eldora Harris Atkins, was born December 1, 1911 in LeRoy, Coffey County, Kansas. Her childhood was spent in eastern Kansas near Pleasanton. Later she moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri where on December 1, 1935 she was married to Maurice Eugene Rhodes. During their fifty years of marriage, they lived in Mountain Grove and West Plains, Missouri and in West Memphis, Arkansas. While living in West Memphis, Arkansas she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, also of the West Memphis Service Club, a philanthropic club. Upon moving to Nampa in September 1986, she became an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; her parents; three brothers; and two nieces. Ruth is survived by her nephew, Fred Atkins (Faye); nieces, Sue Treinen (John), Glenna Knudson and Carol Hocky; and numerous grand nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank caregiver Karen Burns, the staff of Sunny Ridge Retirement and Legacy Hospice for their kindness and care. A memorial service for Ruth will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 400 Lake Lowell Ave, Nampa. Robison, John "Jack"  
John "Jack" Robison 1924 - 2015 John J. Robison "Jack" passed away of natural causes on April 22, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born in Harrisburg, Texas on September 8, 1924 to James and Clara Robison and lived in Boise for the past 35 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Wilda; his children, Dan (Lynn) Robison, Eric Robison, Sharon (Kendall) Hoyd; his grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Cota, Christopher Hoyd, Nicole Robison and Shelby (Justin) Letsinger. Jack served as a 1st Class Petty Officer in the US Navy during WWII, surviving Omaha Beach at D-Day, then later served during the Korean War. After the military, Jack and Wilda moved to Upland, California where Jack had a career as an educator and mentor, teaching high school math and later becoming a high school counselor. In 1980, Jack retired and moved with Wilda to Boise, Idaho. During their retirement, Jack and Wilda traveled extensively throughout North and South America as part of the Airstream Caravan Club. Jack was proud to serve a term as president for the Idaho Unit of Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) and later as the Region 10 president for WBCCI and as a member of the Board of Directors. Jack lived a full, adventurous life and loved his family greatly. He was always quick with a laugh and full of stories about his adventures. He will be missed and lovingly remembered. A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 11:00 AM at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City, ID, just off State Street. Family and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorials to be sent in memory of John Robison (please include his name on the check) to Peregrine Fund, Inc., 5668 W Flying Hawk Ln, Boise, ID 83709 (EIN 231969973).
