MacFarland, William (Bill) - Boise  
William C. (Bill) MacFarland 1937 - 2015 William C. (Bill) MacFarland went home to be with Jesus on July 19, 2015. He was born in Oakland, CA on December 14, 1937. He served in the Army for four years. He married his first wife Joan in 1961. He later earned a BA and Masters of Social Work from Fresno State. He started his Social Work in California, and later moved to Idaho, where he had a 23 year career with Health & Welfare, retiring in 1998 as Program Director, with numerous awards. After losing Joan to cancer in 2001, he met the second love of his life, MaeFrances Blades, whom he married in 2003. He is survived by his wife MaeFrances, sons Darin (Darcy); Andrew (Sunny); step-children Randy (Andrea), Larry (Kathy), Carolee (Grady), Cathy (Todd), Melanie (Roger), Sandee (Rick); siblings Michael, Phillip, Paul, Barry, Wanda, and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24th, at 10:30 am at Treasure Valley Baptist Church, 1300 S. Teare Ave, Meridian. Burial with military honors will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.

McFaddan, Robert Lon - Meridian  
Robert Lon McFaddan 1930 - 2015 Robert Lon McFaddan, 85, went home to the Lord unafraid on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Meridian St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by family. Robert was born July 15, 1930 in Meridian, Idaho to Lon and Veda McFaddan. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1949. In 1951, he was inducted into the United States Army and served for 2 years. He attended Boise Junior College studying autobody. On February 4, 1931, Robert married Irene Grove at the Boise Valley Church of the Brethren on Star Road. They lived on their farm west of Meridian for over 50 years where he raised crops and had a dairy. They had 3 children, he was very involved in their lives. Robert now joins his beloved wife, Irene, whom he has missed for 10 years after her death. Robert attended the Friends Church. He was also interested in reunions of class and army buddies. He enjoyed traveling when he was able and sightseeing. He made numerous knitted hats for family and elementary children. He spent time reminiscing and storytelling with family and friends. Robert is survived by daughters, Connie (Wes) Porter, Carma McFaddan; son, Lyle (Bobbi) McFaddan. Grandchildren, James (Beni) Porter, Lori (John) Adams, Jessica (Aaron) Dreiling, Ashli McFaddan, Ryan McFaddan, Shreela and Dehra McFaddan. Great-grandchildren, JW and Porter Adams, Easton and Payson Porter, Ace Dreiling. Brother, Bernard McFaddan. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, and his parents. A graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Star Cemetery. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com . Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Robert's name to your favorite charity.

McGowan, Thomas Leigh - Boise  
Thomas McGowan June 28, 1931 July 24, 2015 Our "Poppy" (Tom McGowan), 84, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2015, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born in Seattle, Washington and later graduated from the University of Washington (Go Huskies). In 1953, he married Bobbie and they had four ugly children. They now have 17 1/2 great-grandchildren, also ugly (gotcha Poppy)! In 1962, he discovered his lifelong passion for barbershop harmony which continued throughout his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor until his passing into the arms of our Savior. Please join us for a celebration of his life! Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Treasure Valley Worship Center 50 W.
