Cleda M. Link, 89, of Boise, passed away on February 17, 2014 at Heritage Assisted Living of natural causes.
Cleda was born June 7, 1924 in West Plains, Missouri to Jay and Muriel Hoover, one of five children. She spent her early years in Bartley, Nebraska and in 1938 her family moved to Nampa where she attended school and graduated from Nampa High School.
Cleda married Elmer R. Link on December 12, 1946, in Nampa. They lived in Meridian and Nampa before making their home in Boise. Elmer died on January 30, 1984. Cleda retired from Safeway grocery after twenty years of service. Her later years were spent enjoying her grandchildren and her flowers.
Cleda is survived by son, James L. Link & daughter-in-law Pamela R. Link of Boise; son, Russell W. Link of Boise; 4 grandchildren: Jay, Aaron, Joe & Jacque; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dawna Case of Mt. Vernon, Washington. Cleda is also survived by brother-in-law Cecil Link & sister-in-law Loraine Link; sisters-in-law Edna Evans & Joyce Carringer; brother-in-law Kayle Hobbs; and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Heritage Assisted Living for the wonderful care they provided during her time there, as well as the staff of Life's Doors Hospice.
Grave side services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Memorial Park in Boise.
