1927 - 2013
Darlene Knobel, 86 of Boise, Idaho joined her Father in Heaven April 6, 2031 passing peacefully in her sleep.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm April 12, 2013 at the LDS Church at 504 11th Avenue North in Nampa, Idaho with visitation beginning at Noon. Bishop Mike Alder of the Kimball Ward will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell at 3:00pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bowman Funeral Parlor.
Darlene was born in Salt Lake, Utah on March 21, 1927. She grew up in Irwin, Idaho where she graduated from Ririe High School in1946.
Darlene was married to Kenneth Leroy Knobel on August 3, 1946. To this union four children were born; John, Frankie, Vicki Darlene and Anna Michelle.
Darlene retired as a lunch lady for Meridian High School. She enjoyed her garden, reading and visiting with friends. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in several church and volunteer positions over the years, including a mission to Koscesco, Mississippi in 1995.
Darlene is survived by her sister Donna Joyce Pully, sister Beatrice Kaye Byington, daughter Frankie Stoltenow, daughter Michelle Moore, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Knobel, sister Phyllis Cazier, brother Lyle Weeks, daughter Vicki Darlene and son John.
She was greatly loved and will sorely missed.
