Ready for a new challenge he purchased and established Sands Bar, enjoying his customers for 12 fun filled years. Ready for yet another challenge, upon selling Sands Bar, he spent additional years working at the Farmers Co-op in Ontario, OR. Earl is survived by his wife Evelyn; three children, Sandy (Peter) Michaels of Los Angeles, CA, Jeff (Karen) Sands of Payette, and Joe (Norma) Sands of Nampa, ID; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Sorry to hear of you loss. I have good memories of the Sands family. My dad and mom played cards with Earl and Evelyn. Myrna, Gretchen, Sandy and I had many fun days playing on Soga Lane in the '60s! My heart goes out to you. We lost our dad in 2009 and know how bad it hurts.

Our sympathies go out to the entire Sands family. I`m glad that I knew Earl as well as I did and for as long as I did. Had a lot of great times down on First Avenue growing up.
