Weldon McBride Obituary

Weldon F. McBride 1929 - 2011 Weldon F. McBride passed away at age 82, peacefully on April 20, 2011 at Trinity Mission in Nampa, Idaho. Weldon was born on March 10, 1929 in Plainview, Texas to Floyd and Audrey McBride. He was raised in Lubbock, Texas where he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1948. He proudly served in Texas and Kentucky until 1952. He lived for a time in Santa Barbara, California where he enjoyed ocean fishing. Weldon lived most of his adult life in Boise, Idaho, working, fishing, going to the Boise Auction on Saturdays and Capital Christian Center Church on Sundays. He liked to tease in a friendly way and told many a good story. Weldon is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Kapteyn (Charles) of South Jordan, Utah; one grandson, Brian Coleman (Carrie) of Greensboro, North Carolina with great-grandson, Uriah; one granddaughter, Cheryl Spiker (B.J.) with great-grandchildren Brianna and Brendan. He was pre-deceased by his only brother and parents. Weldon, toward the end of life, was grateful for the good care he received from the Boise Veterans Home and social worker, Oni. Putting his faith in Jesus Christ, Weldon is now home in Heaven. A graveside service will take place on Monday, April 25, 2 PM at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise. Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel of Nampa is handling the funeral arrangements. Pastor Bob Grove to officiate.
