James "Jim" Kalinski July 13, 1956 - May 14, 2011 Jim was born on July 13, 1956, in Lockport, New York to Mitka and Adrienne Kalinski. Jim's family moved to Reno Nevada in 1959 where Jim enjoyed a wonderful child hood with his parents, older brother Mike, and younger sisters Cheryl, and Donna. Their son Nick was born on March 17, 1985, and was Jim's pride and joy. Jim and his family moved to Boise, Idaho in 1988 where he and Laurie purchased their first home in April of 1989 where his daughter Crystal entered and brightened their lives on May 22, 1990. Although Jim had M.S., he lived his life to the fullest and kept a positive attitude and perspective on life. I met Jim the first time I played poker and a nicer man I've never met. He was so patient with the new players and loved to play jokes on the unsuspecting. One night he brought a fly zapper and got me good. He had an infectious smile that made for a great poker face. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My thoughts and deepest sympathy to all that had privilege and honor of knowing Jim and to his family for their loss! I knew that even on my baddest day that I could just walk into the Buffalo Club and Jim's smile and his well known comedy would melt away my bad day! He always made me laugh and he had one of the brightest smiles I have ever seen! Jesus has a new Angel and he will be watching over his family and friends from afar! So sorry for your loss! He was an exceptional man... You will be missed!

Daddy, I don't understand why you had to go. I miss you more than I could have ever imagined. You were a great man and I only wish I could have told you how much you mean to me. I love you. Save me a seat.

Bob and I played poker with Jim more times than I can count at the Buffalo Club, and several times at his home. I enjoyed teasing him about his "Hemi" wheelchair. I admired Jim's humor throughout his illness and how he never allowed it to handicap him. Our condolensces to his family. -- Tracy Widner and Bob Willhide (Boise, ID)
