T.J. Acree Obituary

T.J. Acree 1993-2011 Born May 14, 1993 in Nampa. Passed away April 28, 2011. A funeral service will be held at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel at 2pm on Saturday, May 7, 2011. He will be buried in Kohlerlawn Cemetery following the funeral service. T.J attended Chief Joseph and River Valley Elementary Schools where he was named student of the year two years in a row. He went to middle school at Lewis and Clark. For 3 years he attended Mt. View High School and was ready to graduate from Homedale High on may 23rd. His adulthood was soon to begin, turning 18 on may 14th. T.J. Is survived by his father Kenneth Acree (Lori), mother LuAnn Zahm (Tye), his big brother Trent, step-brothers Kris Zahm, Jay and Kenny Mossi. He leaves behind his grandparents Betty and John Harris and grandma Louise Acree. Also included are uncles Gary Acree, Tim Darland (Bonnie), Jeff Darland (Suzanne), aunts Jenni Farrar (Jay), Cindi Morrison (Jim) plus the extended family of Wade and Jenni Esplin. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and tons of friends. T.J. Was a great kid with bright blue eyes and an irresistible smile. He lit up the room when he smiled. You knew you were special when he smiled at you. As a young lad T.J. and Trent went mutton busting in the local rodeos. He had a funny "cowgirl wave." He and Trent discovered BMX bike racing at an early age. They both brought home many trophies together. They soon found Optimist Football both playing on the same flag team their first year. Soon came tackle football. T.J.'s years in middle school were great. He was involved in football, basketball, track and wrestling. During his last years of middle school and first of high school he was lucky enough to be a "ball boy" for BSU football, on the side lines of every home game. In high school he played one year of football but then found soccer. His very first teams name was "Kicks and Giggles" and boy was that true. He went on to play J.V. Soccer with all of his good friends at Mt. View High School. He played one more season of indoor soccer with "Kicks and Giggles." T.J. Loved camping, fishing especially hunting with his dad (his first elk), soccer and BSU football. His favorite player was of course big T.J. Acree #89 on BSU. (He was little T.J.) T.J. Was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. May you now rest in peace my son. Gone but never forgotten. Our thanks to out to the many teachers, friends and family all who knew and loved our T.J.

My son and I will always have fond memories of the time we spent with TJ when we lived in Meridian at the same apartment complex. TJ was always a great kid who brought a smile to our face by his silly antics and sense of humor. TJ will always hold a special place close to our hearts and our prayers are with his family during their time of grief.

I had the privilege of coaching TJ in soccer at Mountain View. TJ always had a smile on his face no matter how tired he was or how hard he was working. His grin was infectious and you couldn’t help but want to laugh with him. On the sidelines and in practice his sense of humor kept the team smiling and always wanting to keep going. From the first time I put him into a game, I knew that I could always count on him for 110% effort. TJ was a pleasure to coach, and a fine young man. He will be missed on the field, and off. My thoughts are with you during this sad time.

I met TJ when I was about 8 or 9 years old when I started going over to his neighbor's house almost every week. TJ was so close with their family and would always come over and hang out with their family, and I started having a bit of a crush on him for a small amount of time (: He was so much fun to be with and always wanted to make everyone smile. He had beautiful blue eyes and a warming smile. TJ, I hadn't really talked to you as often after a while but I wish I would have. it was always a text every now and again but man I still will miss you? You'll always be in my heart,
I remember goin to your house & playing games, and when you came to my class in 5th grade..everyone called you "mr. dude" (:
I'll miss seeing you around mr dude...
Thoughts&prayers going to his family. I'm so sorry for your loss, T.J.'s going to be greatly missed..

TJ was a great kid who I'll always remember from class. He came in to my class first thing in the morning, hair always damp like he woke, up jumped in the shower, then got right to school. He was always happy, and was very proud of his accomplishments. He's one of the few students I've ever had who really wanted me to come watch him play soccer, and I was glad to have seem him do so. He touched so many lives, and he will be sorely missed.

I used to babysit Trent and Tyler in Nampa, pit and stamm, and also in Homedale. I remember Tyler as a baby, and our walks to the park, I would take them in the wagon. I am sorry to you LuAnn and Kenny, my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Words can not express the sorrow and pain I feel for your loss. I feel as though I am the blessed one to have been graced by your TJ's big heart and his inviting personality. John and TJ were such great friends, I can still hear his laughter. Every bit of my heart goes out to you during this most difficult time Luann. Life does not make sense losing someone as young...My condolences to you and your family.

You could always depend on a smile from TJ...especially after practice was finished! We also fondly remember that one lonely toilet paper roll stuck for several months up in the top of the tree in our front yard thanks to TJ and his fellow teammates. TJ will truly be missed. Our prayers are very much with you all at this time.

Our son Nick played optimist football with TJ for many years. We remember him as the little spitfire who ran 20 yards side to side to avoid a tackle. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word. We are so very sorry for your loss and will always remember him fondly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
