I don't know how to tell you how bad my family and I feel about the loss of your dear, dear son. I sometimes wonder why God lets things like this happen. But I guess it's not up to me to question, is it? I'm so sorry. if I could take this on for you I would. My mom just died a year ago, of cancer and I'm still trying to deal with that. I'm not saying that I know how you are feeling at all, but I do know sorrow.
So please know you are all in my prayers everyday and in my thoughts all day long.
Prayers and Good wishes to you and your family.
Cat, Clint, Meg, Jess and my extended family, also.

Linda and Danny, and all of the Higginson and Strauss families. My heart and prayers go out to you. This loss feels so tragic, yet our Heavenly Father has a plan for it. What a gift to have Alvin for 5 years. I am so thankful for him because his blessing was the last time that I saw all of the Higginsons together. He is an amazing gift. My prayers remain with you. Love to you always,

I am one of the people who stopped to help Saturday- My name is Kelly, I was with you and Alvin until paramedics arrived _ I witnessed the love of his Father and Mother and saw him smile and respond to Dads words - he knew that you both loved him and were with him. I have sons of my own and know the love a parent has for a child- my prayers go to you at this time. You Alvin , your daughter and other son are in my daily thoughts .

We met Alvin at the Star Library and my son (Aiden) instantly became friends with Alvin as they sang the Indiana Jones theme song. Ever since he always hoped to see Alvin when we would go to the Library and was thrilled when he was there. I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for your family. Love, Aiden and his Mom (Amber)

Dear Strauss Family,
Words cannot describe our sorrow for your family. Alvin was a sweet, sensitive little boy and we cherished having him in our primary class. May the Lord guide you through this difficult time and bear you up.

Dear Strauss Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your little boy and for this tragic accident. I was reading this morning in the June Ensign and came across this quote by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, "The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude." "Come What May, and Love it," Ensign, Nov. 2008, 28.
May the Lord be with you during these very challenging times.
