Frances K. Blaye

Frances K. Blaye 1920 - 2011 Frances K. "Frannie" Blaye, 90, of Meridian and formerly of Twin Falls, passed away Monday morning, April 18, 2011 at her son's home in Meridian. Frances was born on December 17, 1920 at the San Jancito Ranch in Nevada, (Part of the Utah Construction Ranches Wine Cup, Gamble and Shoe Sole), the daughter of Ray and Perthania Poole King. She grew up and attended schools in Contact and Wells, Nevada, where she graduated from Wells High School. After attending nursing school at St. Maries School of Nursing in Pocatello, she graduated and soon afterwards passed national licensing exams to become a Registered Nurse. Frannie married Julien Blaye in 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Together they raised two children, Michael Stephen and John Blaye. Frannie worked at the Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital for over 32 years where she was in the surgery department and purchasing for many years. She enjoyed the many years of working with the doctors, nurses and patients. Frannie enjoyed being in the out-of-doors horseback riding, fishing, hiking, swimming and cooking. Her love was her family and spending time with them. Frannie is survived by her two children, Michael Stephen Blaye of Belgium and John Blaye of Meridian, Idaho; her four grandchildren, Thomas Blaye, Breanna Blaye, Stephanie Blaye and Ilan Blaye as well as her two great grandchildren, Braelynn and Tristan Blaye. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Julien, her sister Pauline Paskett, and grandson Willem Blaye A celebration of Frannie's life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Sunset Memorial Park, 2296 Kimberly Road East, Twin Falls, with Deacon Jim Herrett of St. Edward Catholic Church officiating. At Frannie's request there will be no public viewing. Services are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls.
