Frank Marvin Doyle

Frank M. Doyle, after a yearlong battle with cancer, passed away on October 8th, 2013.
Frank was born in Painesville, Ohio on November 23, 1939 to Francis and Joane Doyle. He graduated from Harvey High School in 1957. In 1963 he followed some of his classmates to Boise, Idaho where he lived until his death. He loved the Idaho life and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and Boise State football.
Frank started his working career in 1965 at Idaho First National bank as a messenger and worked his way up, over many years, to Vice President of General Ledger Dept. He retired in May, 1995. In 1980, he and 4 other Idaho First employees rescued a drowning man while fishing on the Salmon River. He also coached Optimist Football for 16 years, and his team won 4 championships during that time.
A visitation for friends and family will be at Cloverdale Funeral Home on Oct. 13, 2013 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Frank will then return home to Ohio to be buried near his parents in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.
He is survived by his sisters: Joane Mahnke (Painesville) and her children Patrick, Jim, and Jay; Elaine Peck (Boise) and her children Matthew Peck and Stephanie Cheng. Frank will be greatly missed by his family.
The family wishes to thank his doctors, nurses and caregivers at Saint Alphonsus Cancer Care Center, Saint Alphonsus Hospice, and Comfort Keepers Home Care. Special thanks go to his friends Terry Baird, Margie Jones and Alan Covert who were of great help and comfort during his illness.
In his memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made through Saint Alphonsus Foundation to the above agencies or another charity of the donor's choosing.
