Gloria Lane Forrey
Gloria Lane Hayes Forrey, 79, Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2014 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Gloria was born on November 11, 1934 the first of three daughters that were born to Frank and Mable Hayes. She grew up in Boise, Idaho where she met the love of her life Wayne Forrey at Boise High School.
Wayne and Gloria were married on February 21, 1953 and were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple to each other and their four children.
Gloria loved sewing, gardening and all types of crafts and especially loved serving and supporting her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a love for life.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and held many callings over the years. She especially loved working on church activities and committees while living in Twin Falls.
Gloria is survived by her husband Wayne, their four children; Wayne Jr. (Karen), Franklin (Jeanette), Diana (Brady Barbour) and Tami (Ken Jorgensen). Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Her sisters Marlene Johnson (Neil) and Sharon Blair (Ray) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the LDS Chapel located at 12040 W. Amity Rd., Boise. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Mayo Clinic and St. Luke's Mountains States Tumor Institute for the loving care she received during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria's name to St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise, Idaho C/O St. Luke's foundation, 190 E. Bannock Street Boise, Idaho 83712.
