Howard Suchy

Howard J. Suchy 1946 - 2011 Howard J. Suchy, 64, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011. Howard was born July 24, 1946 to Arthur and Marion (Lenz) Suchy in Nampa Idaho. He graduated from Boise High School in 1964. After high school Howard became a fireman in Boise and served his city for several years. His passion for cars eventually led him to open Howards Headers and race Jeeps with Capital City Jeep Club. Howard built custom hot rods when he was not fabricating iron for his latest business - Iron Gate. Howard's great love was building ornamental iron artwork and often sold his work at Garden and Art shows. Howard maintained employment with CH2MHill for 27 years as a draftsman. Howard served his community through his church, First Baptist Church in Boise. Howard was a loving father, grandfather and thoughtful friend. He was artistic and caring and always helped those in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Those wishing to do so may send memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Boise. He is survived by his children Timothy Suchy, Hagerstown, Maryland and Andrea Haydon, Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren Andrea Suchy, Trevian Suchy, Austin Suchy, Madeleine Haydon and Jack Haydon; his siblings, Glenn Suchy and Ken Suchy. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
