Yes, brother, it is true, "love leaves a connection no one can steal." I miss our visits on messenger. I am saddened to know that when I come to the valley, you won't be there. But, I am encouraged to know that I will join you, Foxy and our other friends and family when my appointment time has arrived. I know you still "are"...Just right across the veil that separates you from us for awhile. I miss you Bro! Julene

I am saddened to hear of John's passing. I met John online in 2003 through eBay, where we competed over trivets and eventually moderated an eBay trivet group together. "Junkyard John" became an online mentor to many new trivet collectors and was respected by all for his wealth of knowledge.
Although John had many health issues in his last few years, he faced them with courage and optimism, always hoping for just a little more time to enjoy this life he loved so much. I will miss him and always regret that we never met in person. Gloria and family, I am so sorry for your loss.

What I remember about uncle John is that he was a good listener. He was interested in other people and their experiences and he was a lifelong learner. Though he had amazing stories and exciting experiences of his own to share, he made people feel important because he wanted to hear about them. He was also very caring and always a gentleman. I will miss his pleasant conversation.
