Joseph J. Mazon 77 of Boise Passed Peacefully on June 23, 2013 All of his friends called him "Pepe". Pepe enjoyed sharing stories of his young life.
Spending time at his family's AZ restaurant "Cuca's Place". Pepe spent time in the military during the Korean War as a paratrooper. He loved the excitement of jumping from planes. He was proud to serve.
From there he went on to be a champion feather weight fighter. Weighing only 112lbs he became one of the 10th best in the world! Boxing was surely his passion!
Pepe loved his family. He will be most remembered for his great smile. And his love of belting out old country songs. His favorite "Ring of Fire" He will be forever missed! Survived by: Daughters -Tracy Mazon-Homan, Trina Kay Fifer Granddaughters- Torye Shivel, Tristyn Shivel, Asha Homan Brothers/Sisters- Albert Mazon, Carlos Mazon,Ruth Mazon, Jo Anne M. Zapata,Frances P. Dorame Grace P. Barnes, Ophelia P. Jackson. His good friend and caretaker Sandra S.Mazon. He is preceded in death by His Love Patricia Balzer Mother- Refugia L. Grijalva Father- Alberto Mazon Brothers/Sisters Jacob "Jake"Mazon, Lita Barfuss, Daniel Peters. A big heartfelt" Thank You" to all the staff in the CLC at the VA. Boise
