I was very touched by Karen's obituary written in her own hand! She celebrated life and wants nothing but the best for her family as they continue with life. My condolences to everyone and may the peace of God settle in your hearts and help you to face the future as Karen would want you to.

Please forgive me , I have never met Karen . I have had the privilege of reading her obituary . And that alone tells me what a wonderful person she was . I don't know what took such a beautiful woman from this undeserving world ... but reading some of the loving comments from those who knew her has brought a beautiful scripture to mind . ( Isaiah 49:15 ) "Can a woman forget her nursing child or have no compassion for the son of her womb ? Even if these women forget , I will never forget you ." Karen I forever in God's memory . As she will remain in the hearts and minds of all of those who knew and loved her .

Karen - One of those rare and wonderful people who make you a finer person just by being in your life...and someone who will be sorely missed, never forgotten, and somehowalways there with us. A true pioneer spirit - a can-do gal - to the very end!! Her heart was her engine, and her smile her trademark.
I've included a photo of Karen's cabin on the coast in WA state - from many moons ago...Check out her handicraft, she made a palace of that cabin. Sending you my love Karen, wherever you are! Carolyn
