One year tomorrow, my sweet angel. The hardest year of my life. No little body to hug, no sweet cheeks to kiss, no cute giggles to listen for. Your picture is in the middle of the pink tulips I planted just for you, and I plan to always surround you with beautiful flowers to honor your beautiful spirit. I love you. Forever your Grandma.

Dear Monkey,
Over the years as I watched you grow I may have always been sure to tell you that I loved you. But, I realize now that I may have not been able to tell you that you are my hero, for how much you taught me.
In your honor, I would like to share eight things that you will always mean to me:
1. I remember how scared I was when I first met you. I didn’t think I could possibly remember all of the special instructions to take care of you. But, from the moment I was finally able to hold you in my arms and you looked into my eyes, it all just made sense.
Thank you for being my purpose.
2. Through our first challenges together, although each new piece of information about your prognosis was devastating, and weakening, it became clear that you not only were strong yourself, but you had enough strength for daddy too.
Thank you for showing me how to brave when I was scared.
3. I can’t remember slowing down to appreciate the warmth of the sun on my face or the beauty of each new day until the day you were born. You taught me to slow down and think in terms of each new day instead of five year plans.
Thank you for teaching me that sometimes, the little picture-is the big picture.
4. Over the years, with the loving help of family, friends, and specialists, I admired you so much as I watched you defy all logic. To this day, I still can’t believe how incredibly hard you could pinch, or how powerful your tiny, but mighty frog legs were.
Thank you for showing me that being stubborn is not always a bad thing.
5. I was always fascinated by how the same thing could make you giggle and squeal with such delight, a hundred times over. My favorite game with you did not involve batteries or story time, it was laughing because your giggle made me laugh, causing a never-ending game of making each other laugh.
Thank you for showing me how to appreciate the simple things in life.
6. I will miss leaving the house in the morning later than I should; just so I could watch you sleep. It was in these mornings that I felt like I was cheating a little bit, as if I was watching one of God’s angels sleep.
Thank you for showing me how to recognize when I am in the presence of beauty.
7. I will miss watching you solve problems with such concentration and reason. It was almost as if I could hear you think, always confident that you could exceed all expectations.
Thank you for showing me what determination looks like.
8. Though there are many-your sweet, sweet smile, your giggle; my fondest memories of you will always be how good it felt to hold you, to kiss you, to release all of the day’s worries in the tightest of hugs with you.
Thank you for showing me how to love unconditionally, and be loved back.
Khaile, I love you. I miss you. I am having such a hard time without you here. I don’t how much time separates us from being together again, but I do know that I cherished every moment we had, and it was an honor and a privilege to be your Dad.
I love you so much,
Your, Daddy

Dear Little Peanut,
So tiny and fragile you came into our lives and stole our hearts. I miss you so much more than words can say. I loved every minute we got to spend together. I'll always remember your beautiful smile and how cuddly and precious you were, especially after a bath. You made going to "work" so much fun! I promise to check in on everybody for you and tell your baby sister wonderful stories about you. Until we meet again, little one.
My Love Always and Forever,
"Aunt" Tammy
P.S. Ron and MaryLynn, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you again for letting me be a part of Khaile's life. I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Dearest Ron & Mary Lynn - we are so sorry for your loss. We are really going to miss Khaile Marie. Although she was here on earth way to short of a time, we grew to love her more each day. Her little giggle and beautiful smile will live in our hearts forever.
We were honored to be her God parents and will remember her always.

I have enjoyed many pictures of Khaile over the years. They told me a story of a Dad who was in love with his little girl. A Dad who brought a lot of joy into Khaile's eyes. Just the fact that Khaile lived so long beyond what was expected, speaks of the love and care surrrounding her, and there is nothing sad about that!

Ron,
My heart is filled with sadness for the loss of Khalie. Although we did not have the honor of meeting her we did so enjoy the pictures and stories. She was beautiful girl with a contagious smile. She will live on in the hearts of those that knew her through the memories. The restraints this earth gave her little body are now gone and she is free to dance and sing. These words are small but heartfelt. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Jodie, Aunt Mary and our families.

Dear Ron, Ashley and MaryLynn,
It really pierced my heart when I was told the news. I visited thier home many times and would watch her father attend to her, I always remember the biggest smile ever on his face and the calmness in his soul when he was with her. She really was a blessing for him, it was a Miracle he got to spend this many years with her, she was a fighter and impossible to look at and not feel overwhelming joy and a little sadness, wishing she would have been given a little more help from God to be able to stay in her fathers arms forever. I guess God wanted her now, she will always be remembered and cherished. I really cannot find any words to help you deal with this ( having my own daughter makes this hurt to much to think about ), I pray that God will help you and your loved ones.
Love and condolences, Rich and Peg Gamba

Ron~~~MaryLynn, We will always remember how Khaile enjoyed being up here at the cabin sharing smiles and giggles with our precious Makalie and Cardale, Ron and Tracy. She filled our hearts with joy just seeing her happy face. She and Makalie must be catching up on a lot of playing together!! We are so sad she is no longer here physically but so happy we have the faith and hope of seeing her again one day when we will all be together again!

So very , very sorry to hear about Khaile. Although we never met her, we so looked forward each year to hear how she was doing. She was so obviously a bright light in the family.
