Kristen Marie Scott Obituary
Kristen Marie Scott
1981 ~ 2013
Kristen Marie Scott, 31, of Meridian, died June 9, 2013 in a tragic automobile accident near Cascade, ID.
Kristen was born in McCall, Idaho on November 19, 1981 to Mike and Gloria Moore. When Kristen was 2 years old the family moved to Meridian, where she attended Linder Elementary, Meridian Middle School and Meridian High and Capitol High. During her school years she and a special friend, Jessica Bartlett, were constant companions, in all manner of activity and mischief. Kristen later attended a technical school in Boise where she received her MA certificate.
Kristen married Jeffrey Miranda on May 8, 2003 in Boise, ID. Two amazing children, Maia and Rori, were born to this union. Kristen and Jeff divorced in 2010. In 2011 Kristen married William Scott and two wonderful daughters, twins Reese and Sidney, were born on May 5, 2012 in Boise, ID.
Growing up Krissie always had a smile on her face and was delightfully curious about almost everything. She learned to walk early and from that moment on she was hard to keep up with. She loved adventure, snow skiing with her family, riding bikes on numerous family trips, and just about any activity laid before her. She excelled in sports and was fiercely competitive.
As an adult, Krissie can best be described as a beautiful young woman with a firey passion to serve her children, her family, her Church, and God, above and before herself. She gave of herself to these important aspects of her life sacrificially and without expectation. Her favorite activities were Church functions and fellowship and large, frequent family gatherings. Of the gatherings, Christmas Eve was always her favorite family event. Again her children and family came first. Krissie always attended these functions with some manner of homemade cookies or baked goods. She, as an accomplished cake decorator, a skill she learned from her mother, provided most of her families' birthday cakes.
In these last few days following her death her family and friends have re-discovered what an amazing, giving and spiritual young lady she was through countless stories and sharing of her life and passions.
Krissie is survived by her children, Maia (9), Rori (7), twins, Reese and Sidney (14 mo.), and Juliana (5); husband, William Scott; ex-husband, Jeffrey Miranda; mother Gloria Moore and finance Keith Gentle; father, Mike Moore and "special mother" of 20 years, Cheryl Moore. Her sister Amber Dunn, with whom she had a special bond, not just sisters but best friends, never a dull moment between them; brothers Patrick Fredrick and Dennis (Nicci) Wilson and niece, Ella; brother Daren (Stephanie) Wightman and sons; grand parents, Mack and Louise Moore; grandmother, Jeri Ureguen; countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of her large extended family. Her Aunt Diana Link stands out as a special friend and confidant including Diana's husband, Matt, and daughter Nadia.
She was preceeded in death by her grandfather, Kristian Shau; grandmother, Claire Moore and grandmother, Lucille Vargas, with whom Krissie had a special life long connection.
There are no words to express the overwhelming contributions of food, love, prayers and condolences from an amazing community of friends, family and co-workers. This out pouring of unabated love again defines Krissie's life and we know in our hearts she is amazed by what she witnesses.
