Lloyd Eugene Falk
Dec. 25, 1938 ~ June 30, 2014
Lloyd Eugene Falk passed away in his home on Monday June 30, 2014. He was born in Newport, Washington on Christmas Day 1938, he loved having a Christmas Birthday.
Lloyd graduated from Priest River High School, Class of 1957 and later graduated from Idaho State University in Education. His career spanned forty years in the Boise School District, where he taught at both Borah and Capital High Schools. Along with teaching, he had a very successful Painting Business with his grandson Taylor, and many years involved with Varsity Contractors. Lloyd had an incredible work ethic, but never wavered on being a wonderful Husband and Father, always keeping family values at the center of his priorities.
Lloyd believed in building a house into a home, a safe haven of Comfort and Worship. He loved every concept of family and the unconditional love given and received from all of his grandchildren. Lloyd also loved the community of Boise to its fullest, and was involved in many organizations and activities, including the Boise Philharmonic as well as a long time Boise State Football season ticket holder. Lloyd touched many lives, giving of his time and energy.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Kevin and Gary; their spouses Tonya and Kelly; four grandchildren, Taylor, Kylie, Austin and Hayden; and his three step-grandchildren Nicolas, Michael and Jarod Brown. Lloyd had five loving siblings- three brothers and two sisters; and will be greatly missed by his former wife, Karen Falk, his two great grandchildren Kason and Piper Brown and many wonderful nieces and nephews. It comes as no surprise, the love and comfort that was shared between him and his dogs, Samson and Rico.
A viewing will be held at Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock Street, Boise, from 5-8 pm on Sunday, July 6, 2014. A Celebration of Life and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. John's Cathedral, 775 N. 8th Street in Boise. Burial to follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Words cannot explain how loved and truly missed he will be by all his family and friends.
