Rex Haynes Obituary

Rex Lee Haynes 1948 ~ 2011 Rex L. Haynes, 62, of Boise, died Saturday, April 16, 2011of surgery complications. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Cloverdale Memorial Park in Boise, with Pastor Randy Martindale officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Boise. Rex was born October 20, 1948 in Nampa, Idaho to Shirley (Allen) and Charles Haynes, Jr. He was the first of eight siblings. He grew up in Boise and graduated from Borah High in 1967. Rex worked for Martindale's Custom Truck in Garden City for many years until becoming disabled. He and Starla Perry (Martindale) met in 1980 and were married on April 15, 2001 in Boise. Rex enjoyed listening to old country and Elvis, and also enjoyed cooking, hunting, fly fishing, and golfing. Survivors include his wife, Starla of Boise; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richard Mather, Jr. of Nampa; a stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Laura Perry of Nampa; grandsons, Anthony, Jacob, Drake and Keaton; granddaughters, Caroline and Kaydence; brothers, Del and wife, Amy of Temecula, California, Eric of Las Vegas, Nevada; Lars of Nampa; sisters, Linda and husband, Ruben Glissendorf of Newport, Oregon, Sarah and husband, Mike Peper of Hygiene, Colorado; Solveig Wood of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
