Bob's family,
My Dad met Bob at the VA Rehab home in January this year. They were roommates. They immediately became friends even though neither one had much to say while there. My Dad, Bob Hiller and I visited Bob C at the assisted living center where he went from the hospital. Bob was going to come out to the ranch and see the horses as soon as the weather was warmer. We enjoyed our brief friendship with Bob very much and my Dad is very sad to have lost his new friend. May God comfort and help you through this time. Sincerely, Bob Hiller and Gail Harmon

My sympathy to the Coates family. I was Bobs insurance agent and always loved talking to him and running in to him at various restaurants around town. He had a great sense of humor. We had a good laugh when he pointed out the irony of driving a Japanese car with Pearl Harbor survivor plates. He will be missed.

Bob, Anne, and family:
I am so saddened to hear of Bob's death. Reading his obituary, I feel comforted by the photos of him, his great smile and such a tremendous contribution in his lifetime. My sincere condolences, he was a pleasure to have known.

My sympathies to the family of Bob Coates. My husband and I enjoyed our association with him and Esther through the Pearl Harbor Survivor's Assn. Also remember the wonderful volunteer work he did with the Warhawk Museum who will no doubt miss him a great deal, too. Again, my sympathies to the family.
