Rusty Schwinn, Age 61, passed away after a tragic accident on July 14, 2017 in Kuna, Idaho. Rusty was born in San Diego California on April 6, 1956 to John Tolly and Norine Francis (Briscoe) Schwinn. Rusty met and married the love of his life, Debbie (Pollett) Schwinn in Lakeside, California. Rusty and Debbie raised their 3 children in Lakeside until 1999 when the family moved to Eagle, Idaho. Rusty immediately fell in love with Idaho and the friendly people.
Rusty will be remembered affectionately by his family. His love and devotion to his family were what propelled his life. One of his favorite games to play was to hold out his closed fists with a treat in one hand. "Pick a hand". Of course the treat was always given, even if the wrong hand was picked!
Rusty ran a repair and maintenance business where most of his clients were Dairy men. He was an accomplished mechanic and welder. He loved his work and the people he served. His expertise and fun loving spirit were loved by those he worked with.
Cars and off road vehicles were his favorite hobbies. At a recent car show, Rusty loved to point to all the classic cars he had owned in his life.
Rusty was preceded in death by his mother Norine and his father John. Rusty is survived by his wife Debbie (Pollett) Schwinn, his son Brian Schwinn, his daughters and their husbands Amanda and (Dave) Steiner, Sabrena and (Drisan) James, his beloved grandchildren Hunter, Kaden, Lucas and Natalie Steiner, Eli and Jocelyn James; his sister Regina Marie, his brother John and (Becky) Schwinn; his brother and sister-in-law Steve and Didi Pollett, and his mother and father-in-law Bill and Bernie Pollett. Rusty has many nieces and nephews, too many to mention here, but all were touched by his life and love him dearly.
A memorial service honoring Rusty will be held Saturday, July 29th at 2PM. The services will be held at Foothills Christian Church-9655 W. State Street-Boise, ID.
