Shana O''Donnell Obituary

Shana Lee (Glahe) O'Donnell 1972 ~ 2011 Shana Lee O'Donnell, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at St Luke's hospital in Boise, Idaho. Shana was born on January 11, 1972, in Olympia, WA to Lawrence A. Glahe and Phyllis A. Kirkby. In 1978, the family moved to Sandpoint, ID where she was raised. She graduated Sandpoint High School in 1990 and later from Spokane Community College, with an Associate's Degree in Ophthalmology. In 2001, Shana married Steve O'Donnell and they started their life together while living in Portland, OR. Steve, Shana and their three children, Blake, Aiden and Chloe, ultimately settled in Meridian, Idaho. Shana was an active soccer player, which she had enjoyed since her youth, playing on the Sandpoint High School soccer team, and was a swim instructor at the Meridian YMCA. She always had an outgoing personality and loved to interact and make new friends. Shana's sense of humor easily rubbed off on those who knew her and she could always be counted on to "tell it like it is." Shana was an avid reader and book collector, constantly looking for the next good story. She also enjoyed camping and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest with her family and friends. Recently, she had focused her artistic abilities of creating hand-crafted decorative boxes and home accents to establish a home-based business. Above all, Shana loved her family very much and will be sincerely missed by them all. Shana is survived by her husband, Steven Lee O'Donnell, of Meridian, Idaho; her three children, Blake Allen, 15, Aiden Myles, 7, and Chloe Catherine O'Donnell, 2, of Meridian, Idaho; her father, Lawrence A. and Jackie L.
