Sharon Gill Christensen
1940 - 2014
Sharon was born in Boise, Idaho on April 29, 1940 to Sheridan and Helen Gill, the first of two daughters. As a child, she loved collecting dolls and playing with paper dolls. After graduating from Boise High School in 1958, she attended Idaho State University for a year before transferring to St. Al's Nursing School in Boise. Sharon married Harry Hoffman in 1963. Together they had a daughter, Shellie Ann. She later divorced Harry and in 1968 she married the love of her life, Jim Christensen, an attorney and past magistrate judge in Boise. Jim adopted Shellie and together Jim and Sharon had a son, James Sheridan, rounding out their family. Jim passed away in 1986.
Shortly after Jim's death, Sharon began an appraisal business, Harper House. She found great pleasure in finding rare gems and sharing her finds with others. Saron was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain. She had many friends she cared for dearly.
Sharon was also active in the Daughters of the Nile and the Iras Temple Dancers & Pagentry. She loved the glamour of her silk costumes and enjoyed performing for others. She was the Queen of the Iras Temple from 2001-2002.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, mom, dad and her Aunt Dorothy. She is survived by her children, Shellie and James; grandchildren, Sydney and Gregory Williams; her sister, Carol Gill; nieces, Brandi (David) Van Etten and Jennifer (Rob) Chase; nephew, David (Michelle) Reinhart; several grand-nephews and a grand-niece.
