Bette G. Jones
Bette G. Jones, 79 passed away at St. Alphonsus Medical Center on June 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Trinity Fellowship Church at 300 N. Latah Boise, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bowman Funeral Home located at 5525 N. Glenwood St. Garden City, Idaho.
Bette was born Sept. 8, 1934 in Jordan Valley, Oregon. Her family then moved to Washington where she was raised and completed high school at Wapato, Washington. She then attended the University of Idaho where she met her husband Don and was married on December 18, 1954. Janet was born on September 20, 1955. Bette was a homemaker and stayed home and raised Janet while Don traveled extensively for Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Company. Bette supported her daughter in horseshow activities for many years before having to relocate with Don to the Seattle area until 1990 at which time they returned to Boise to retire.
Bette was a very gracious person and it seemed that all people loved her in return. She was active in her bridge club and was in one very special group for over 50 years. All who knew her knew her deep love for her dachshund dogs, also, over the last 50 years. (JoJo, Ning, Mandy, Jack, Bandit, and Buddy) She will be missed greatly by all who knew her and her family, who knew and loved her the most. She and Don have been members of Trinity Fellowship Church in Boise, Idaho for the last six years.
Bette is preceded in death by her mother Ella and father Boyd E. Blakely. Bette is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Don, and daughter Janet, and son-in-law Frank Roman, and two grandsons, Tony and Mike Roman, All of Boise. She is also survived by her brother Bryce Blakely and sister-in-law Joanne of Solvang, California.
